Music Ministry

Music Ministry is an important part of our worship at Bellarmine Chapel. Our musicians support regular weekly Masses in addition to special services, including Christmas, Triduum, Ash Wednesday, Funerals, Special Feast Days, Taize Services, and more. Both vocalists and experienced instrumentalists are welcome to join our ensembles. If you are interested in serving as a liturgical musician at Bellarmine Chapel, please contact Roberta Whitely, Regina Rancourt, and Chancellor Waye utilizing the form at the bottom of this page.

Our choirs currently meet to warm up and rehearse before each Sunday Mass at the following times:

  • 9 a.m. Mass, rehearsal at 8 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.m. Mass, rehearsal at 10:30 a.m.
  • 7 p.m. Mass, set up and rehearsal at 5:30 p.m.

Choir members are welcome to arrive before warmups to assist with setting up at the 9 a.m. Mass.

Taize and Evensong services occur on Thursday evenings, timed to accentuate our liturgical seasons and special feast days. Our Taize services model the Taize communities in rural France as a form of repeated musical prayer, where the tradition first took hold. Evensong is a lay-led liturgy, offering perspectives of the lay community in the life of the Church. Our choirs and instrumentalists support both Taize and Evensong services. Please see the parish calendar for information about upcoming services.

If you are interested in utilizing Bellarmine’s Music Ministry for your wedding, please contact Pam Fellerhoff, Sacramental Ministry Coordinator, at fellerhoff@bellarminechapel.org.

From time to time, opportunities arise for children’s vocal ensembles to join in our liturgical celebrations, including the Children’s Mass on Christmas Eve. If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to either Roberta Whitely at music@bellarminechapel.org or Pam Fellerhoff at fellerhoff@bellarminechapel.org.
