The XU Institute for Spirituality and Social Justice in collaboration with Bellarmine Chapel will offer a two-part series on the Synod.

• If you missed the presentation on Monday, February 5, with Dr. Martin Madar, faculty for Systematic Theology and Ecclesiology, and parishioner, including an overview of the Synod, the history of the notion of synodality in Catholic thought and practice, and highlights of  the key topics of discussion at the Synod, you can see the video on Youtube.
• Thursday, March 21 will feature Anna Robertson, XU graduate in Theology, current member of the “Discerning Deacons” initiative, who was in Rome with other young adults at the start of the Synod. You can read her reflections on this experience here. Anna will share about her experience and reflect on the enthusiasm for female deacons expressed throughout this process by Catholics on all continents. This presentation will be in the Conaton Board Room in Schmidt Hall.
