Join us in Bellarmine Chapel for a panel discussion with End-of-Live Doula Nancy Macke, Spiritual Director Sr. Donna Steffen and Parochial Vicar Fr. Damian. Registration is not required, yet helpful for planning and communication purposes.

Program Panelists:

Nancy Macke
Nancy is a Certified End-of-life Doula and member of the International Doulagivers Membership Association and National End-of-Life Doula Association. She is an active volunteer doula with Hospice of Cincinnati, providing over 1,000 hours of service to individuals and families facing end of life. Nancy was recently honored with the 2024 Donna West Memorial Award (North Region) for Hospice of Cincinnati.Nancy has been an active member of Sycamore Presbyterian Church in Symmes Township and is currently the Deacon’s co-moderator. She received an MBA and an accounting degree from Montclair State University. Nancy also has over 10 years of experience working with older drivers and their families, guiding collaborative conversations about driving retirement.

Sr. Donna Steffen, SC
Sr. Donna offers individual spiritual direction and directs retreats. Sr. Donna has an MA in theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. She has experience in parish ministry, presents national RCIA workshops, and continues to lead retreats for various groups. Sr. Donna was trained in Ignatian Spirituality in 1988. S. She directs on two yearly retreats at the Jesuit Spiritual Center in Milford, OH and offers spiritual direction in her home office in East Walnut Hills in Cincinnati.
Fr. Damian Torres-Botello, SJ
Fr. Damian is Parochial Vicar for Bellarmine Chapel. Originally from Kansas City, MO, Fr. Damian received his Masters in Social Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago and earned his Bachelors of Arts in Theatre from Saint Mary College in Leavenworth, KS. He has worked in the field of theater for 30 years, concentrating on amplifying marginalized and oppressed voices. Damian has experience in strategic planning, organizational development, event planning, and community outreach. He is a spiritual director, LGBTQ+ advocate, contributor to The Jesuit Post, and co-founder of the Jesuit Antiracism Sodality (JARS), a network of Jesuits and lay collaborators examining racism to advance racial equality with an Ignatian lens.
