Faith Formation continues with our Youth Ministry, open to students in grades 6-12. Our Middle School Ministry for grades 6-8, and High School Ministry for grades 9-12 provide weekly gatherings to learn about faith and prayer, and ask tough questions, plus social, retreat and service opportunities. Our Youth Ministry interns guide these groups under the supervision of the Director of Youth Ministry.

Bellarmine Youth Ministry is dedicated to engaging young people from within and beyond the parish community. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we create an inclusive environment that encourages youth to develop meaningful relationships with God, supportive adults, and each other. Our ministry inspires young people to recognize and embrace their important role as the present and future of the church. We empower them to become active disciples devoted to prayer and service.

Middle School
Middle school, grades 6-8, uses The Edge, a high-energy program that dives into Gospel stories guided by Xavier University students. We are excited to create a sense of belonging and connection to allow 11 to 13 years olds to engage with our shared Catholic faith in new and creative ways. This program occurs at the same time as our GIFT class for grades PK-5th to provide convenient timing for families to attend together between our morning Masses.
When: Sundays starting after labor day from 10:20-11:20 a.m., plus occasional Edge Night events.
Register Your Child for GIFT 2026-27
High School
High school, grades 9-12, provides the opportunity to participate in a community of peers to grow in one’s discipleship, prayer, and understanding our Catholic faith. The community is a safe place for questions and conversations. The content includes topics in scripture, tradition, and doctrine applied to life. In addition to our weekly gatherings, we offer opportunities to participate in service and mission events and fun nights.
When: Sunday evenings from 5:15-6:45 p.m.
- Learn how to include God in your everyday life
- Find new ways to pray
- Ask tough questions about your faith and the Church
- Become comfortable with identifying as a disciple of Christ
- Have fun and grow in friendship with other Bellarmine teens
Whether you have already been involved in our High School Youth Ministry over the past two years or will be new to the group, we look forward to welcoming you! We realize that there is an “age range” among 9th-12th grade students, so we will provide appropriate small groups to support different needs. Location: Xavier Innovation Center.
Registration: please complete and return this form. For the first teen the fee is $100; for additional teens in the family, $80. (If you have other children in G.I.F.T. or EDGE and have paid the $100 fee, your high school children pay $80. Scholarships are available.) Sunday evening youth ministry begins on August 30, 2026.
Fall High School Retreat
All students who will be in Grades 9-12 in the fall, mark your calendars for Saturday-Sunday, September 19-20, 2026, and plan to join us for a fall retreat as we begin our new year of Youth Ministry together. The location is Higher Ground Retreat and Conference Center in West Harrison, IN, beginning on Saturday morning at 10 a.m., and concluding with Mass on Sunday at 1:15 p.m. Our Xavier Youth Ministry interns will lead a weekend of finding new ways to pray, going deeper into faith, and having fun with new friends.
